They talk extensively about working in care for people with HIV and promoting HIV-awareness, as well the people they worked with at an organization called Minnesota Men of Color. They also talk about the American Indian Movement and Two-Spirit organizing and community-building across North America. In the early 2000s, Tracee entered her career in advocacy. She founded the Juxtaposed Center for Transformation, Inc., co-founded the Trans Housing Atlanta program (THAP), advised on curriculum development for ‘Law Enforcement and Transgender Community Training’ under the Obama administration, and has participated in many other initiatives. Tracee McDaniel is an inspiring advocate for trans civil rights and in sharing her story, she hopes to use her voice to educate people and to be
