Yoseñio is a transgender rights activist, educator, musician, and writer. Some of his first work as an activist in San Francisco was on policy changes that would allow trans people to receive insurance without restrictions on transgender care. Yoseñio is one of the inaugural members of the Trans 100 List, and a founding member of “The TransAms,” an all-transgender barbershop quartet. He also helps to train medical professionals on how to treat trans people and set up an HIV/AIDS education group at a halfway house for federal
