In this interview, they recount reading Jewish historical fiction as a child growing up in California. After attending college on the East Coast, where they spent time engaging with queer theory texts from the 1990s, Ari moved to New York and quickly became embedded in organizing work. They were involved with Beyond the Pale, an anti-Zionist radio program, and, during the pandemic, started working as a tenant organizer. Ceyenne ran away from home multiple times, but she made the decision to leave for good around the age of fifteen. She eventually found her community, but it was a difficult place to discover. As an activist, Ceyenne has championed efforts to insert the neglected transgender identity into the national queer rights conversation. Always focusing on tomorrow, Ceyenne established the renowned Gays and Lesbians Living In A Transgender Society organization ( G.L.I.T.S.), which provides housing, transportation, and other support
