Top Ten Myths About Intersex

Download the full-sized PDF of Top Ten Myths About Intersex

This is a brochure from an organization called ISNA that helped people born with intersex conditions: meaning their bodies did not fit the typical definition of male or female. The brochure explains that every day, five children in the United States were having surgery on their bodies without being able to say yes or no. ISNA believed this was wrong and caused lasting harm. This item comes from the Joshua Aidan Dunn collection at the GLBT Historical Society.
